Throwback Thursday! It is that day of the week again. Time to go back and remember an oldie but goodie. I love this do! I cut my hair short not to long again and haven’t done this do lately to me but I still do it on Z and K. I have even done it on Z’s friend who have super thick hair and it turned out great!! Give it a try and let me know how it goes. Have a great week!
My sweet hubby gave me a hair book for Christmas call Good To Great Hair by Robert Vetica. He is a hairstylist to the stars. I got this do from his book. This do therefor, is great for Mom’s hair. I even did this one to myself. It could be dressed up for prom or a flower girl do. Perfect for teens or preteens. Plus any type of hair works well although it does have to be on the long side!
Here we go! With Z I started with side part. You can do the front any way you want.
Pull all the hair into a side ponytail. It is easier to do this with wet hair.
Divide the ponytail into three sections.
Take the first piece and twist and twist until it starts to coil toward the head. I put a little gel in my hands and rub it through the section before twisting to help keep everything smooth.
Bobby pin twist piece.
Take the second piece and do the same thing.
Secure with bobby pins.
Twist the final piece and secure. If you don’t like how it looks just untwist and start again.
Add bobby pins until all fly aways are tucked away and you like how it looks.
Z added a head band. You can accessorize with anything!
